Under Garments - The "linen garments" worn next to their bodies, reaching from their hips to their thighs.  These must be worn whenever Aaron and his sons enter the Tabernacle or approach the altar in the Holy Place to perform their priestly duties.  Then they will not incur guilt and die.

How could they incur guilt and die if they did not wear this special linen garment covering from their hip to their thighs?  I believe this is because our bodies, themselves, are considered naturally pretty unclean. I mean, what happens if you don't take a shower for 3 days, even if you don't sweat much?  You still won't be smelling nice, nor feeling very clean after three days, right?   We exude dirt and filth, and oil, and NEED regular bathing just to get rid of that.  So my take on this is that God is directing the priests to especially make sure they have one area of thier bodies covered with a layer to separate it from the outer layers of sacred garments. As a barrier to the dirt, filth, stain - much symbollic of our SIN - which naturally exudes from us. period.
