Re:      Next Mission Trip to Ghana - Sept. 5 - 19, 2012 (2 weeks)

Cost:    $3000 Includes airfare from New York to Ghana

Hello Friends:

I am writing you all to give you info on our mission trip to Ghana, West Africa. I ask you each to pray and consider whether you are to go with us. If money is an issue, don't worry about it. We have witnessed that if the Lord wants you to go, He will provide the money.  I have been there several times, and each time the Lord paid the way. It's true. If He sends you, He will send the money, too.

We are now planning our next trip (dates above). We are planning on taking a group. The main team trip will last for 2 weeks.

We will be there in August, and possibly October, so if you want to go, and September doesn't work - let us know.

The needs are great in Africa for people like you and me to come.

Africans love Americans very much. They call the whites Obrunees ("Oh-broo-nees"), which means "white person".  I heard some also call the African Americans Obrunees. (Isn't that cool?)  The very fact that you are an American is like a tool to get their attention and get them to come to activities where they can be saved - or healed - or filled with the Holy Spirit.  Actually All you have to do is what you do best---in the Lord.  If that means teaching computer- great!  If it means just being a friend, great!  You don't have to be particularly spiritual to be used--as they can put you to work using whatever talents you have. If you feel you don't have much to say, the Lord will take your few words and multiply it to feed the hungry in spirit. No preaching (unless you feel led). You can help with building; evangelism; smiling; handing out tracts, food, clothing; sharing good nutrition and health practices... things like that. The African people gladly recieve from Obrunees.  They are full of love for us and eachother, and you will also be richly blessed just by their love.

The trip is coming soon, so if you think you even MIGHT want to go, you should go get your passport applied for right away. Usually you can get it at the county clerk office where you live. The cost for the trip is listed at the top of this message. If you want to stay on longer, you can at the rate of $250 per week. This will cover good food, good lodging, ministry expenses (such as travel, equipment rental, etc.), some siteseeing, and airfare.

I need a deposit of $1700 by a certain date so that we can purchase the air tickets at the quoted price above.  So please contact me asap to make arrangements and discuss dates. If you decide to go at the last minute, however, it still may be possible, though the air fare may be higher. (Best to do it as a group purchase, but they may let us add additional travelers at later dates.)  This will also serve as your deposit so I know you are serious about going. Your deposit is 100% refundable in the event we do not go.

Please let me know asap if you feel the Lord is leading you to go. If not this time around, maybe you can come next time, as we will be going often.

FUNDRAISING:  Many times, your friends and neighbors, and members of your community will donate towards the trip once they know you are going on a mission trip.  We also want to collect health supplies, clothing, tracts and Bibles for the trip. Each person will check in one piece of luggage for thier personal stuff. The other piece allowed by the airline will be used to pack in the supplies we are taking to Ghana.

We asked at the newspaper, and they gave us free classified ad space due to the mission nature - then used the ad to announce our fundraiser, and asked for donations of items. This worked great to raise money for our other trips.

Hope to hear from you soon.
